Explosive Philadelphia Car Crash Kills Reality TV Star

Known for his daredevil stunts, “Jackass” reality star Ryan Dunn and his passenger were both killed in a Monday morning a car crash West Goshen Township, a Philadelphia suburb. The police investigation into the crash that killed the 34-year-old reality star and his 30-year-old passenger is on-going.

According to law enforcement agencies investigating the crash, it appears that Dunn was driving in excess of 100 mph when he lost control of his Porsche GT. He lost control and traveled over a guardrail and into trees. The car burst into flames. Very little of the vehicle is recognizable as a result of the sheer velocity of the impact.
Both Dunn and his passenger suffered serious burns in the explosion and were likely killed on impact. Police believe that speed may have been a factor in this fatal car accident.

Photos on Dunn’s Twitter page showing Dunn and his passenger drinking at a local bar prior to the 3 a.m. crash have led to unconfirmed speculation that Dunn may have been under the influence of alcohol. The actual toxicology reports to determine the truth of the speculation, however, will likely take weeks.

Other MTV television and other film projects involving Dunn include “Proving Ground,” “Viva La Bam,” and “Homewrecker.” MTV released a statement about the prankster’s death, saying “We are devastated by the tragic loss of Ryan Dunn…”
